If we're going to spend the most important moments of your life together, I think it's only fair you know a little bit about me.
Once upon a time, many, many years ago, I found myself in the photo section of Walmart begging my mom for the cute little blue Canon PowerShot locked away in the glass case.
Funny enough, I still have it. These days, it gets passed around at weddings so guests can document the day through their own eyes; A full-circle moment if you ask me.
I never considered being a photographer. I didn't know any photographers, and we were never the "family picture" kind of family. It just never crossed my mind.
however, I'm really glad that's how things turned out.
what feels like both yesterday & a lifetime ago i was walking down the aisle to my handsome little husband thinking, oh my god - i messed up.
not like that, don't stress. he's the loml.
the only thing i wanted to have on wedding day was a videographer. however, we didn't prioritize one in the budget, and the only memory i have of my husband *kim k ugly crying* as i walked down the aisle is the one photo that was taken & the picture i've painted in my head to remember.
that regret did something to me... i wanted to create wedding films. so i reached out to a friend of mine who was getting married, offered to film her wedding, and the rest is history.
from filming to photographing, i've come a long way in the last five years.
However, one thing will always remain constant. Whether I'm photographing you or filming you, my priority will always be to make sure you remember the moment, not the session.
The best photos happen when you're focused on the people you're with, not the camera in front of you. i'll always offer a little direction when needed, but the true magic happens when we let the moments unfold.
When I'm not spending time with you, i'm spending time with my family. My husband, our daughter ruby, and our four pups.
i love dogs, the thrift store, and anywhere an airplane can take me. i'm horrible at watching tv. my favorite drink is sparkling water with a lemon lime liquid iv, and my favorite mindless hobby is to play on pinterest.
One more thing... You'll see a lot of different types of work here—weddings, families, brands, milestones, and even a little boudoir. I genuinely love photographing all of it. But if I'm being honest, I do have a favorite version of each. Weddings are my favorite when the couple gets to truly enjoy the day. That means we're not worried about sticking perfectly to a timeline—we're focused on being present for the moments that matter. Boudoir is my favorite when you stop picking yourself apart, accept that you're beautiful, and let me show you what everyone else already sees. Family photos are my favorite when the kids are free to play, your hair is blowing in the wind, and nobody is worried about whether every outfit is perfectly ironed or every smile is perfectly posed. Branding is my favorite when we take the time to understand what you want your photos to say before we ever pick up the camera. At the end of the day, the common thread is simple... the best photos happen when you're focused on living the moment, not performing for it.
